At 22 years old whilst working in a bar and eleven months after graduating from Manchester University with a degree in Business and Accountancy Finance, I realised that it was time to start taking my future more seriously and to embark on a career. A friend of mine pointed out an advert that was offering great opportunities with no experience, and with always wanting to be successful I decided to give it a shot.

I was invited in for a first interview and came into the Manchester office. My first impressions were ones of friendliness, due to the response from the administrators and of professionalism thanks to the modern décor of the office, I felt comfortable in the atmosphere from the moment I stepped in.

I was met and interviewed and had the size of the company explained to me, and the size of the clients that the company was working for, and I couldn’t believe that a company with such large clients was interested in me, I came back for a second interview and was shown the sales side of the company by someone I had been to school with! His name was Ali Mir and he was already enjoying considerable success in the company. He explained to me exactly how he had moved forward, the time scales that you could do it in and the financial rewards that if you did it right were possible. It seemed unbelievable that a company could offer such good prospects, and at that point with nothing to lose, I realised that this was my chance and I was not going to let it slip out of my grasp.

Since then I have never looked back, I was invited on a trip to see the bigger picture of the company after only two weeks, and went to see the offices in Spain, I got hooked on travelling and since then have travelled round the world, to a number of different countries in a number of different continents visiting related marketing companies.

When I look at what has been achieved in the 4 years since I walked in for an interview, knowing nothing about the business and the industry I am amazed. My company Endeva Advertising is going from strength to strength with more offices opening in new cities, and now with myself being able to pass the opportunity on to others.

The development of myself as a person as well, I cant believe that I have developed into the business person I am, being responsible for so many people and making the choices that I am at 26 years old. This has only been possible thanks to the support of the network around me, nowhere in any other business have I seen so many other people want everyone else in the same industry succeed, and I know that no matter what is going on the answer to any problem is only a phone call away, twenty four hours a day seven days a week.

The biggest reason I am glad I made the decision to pursue this chance, was the choices I get to make now thanks to the progression I have made, and the freedom that I get from having my own business. From personal to financial I understand that if I want more from this business it’s possible, I just have to stay focused and driven to achieve what I want. The success and lifestyle I dreamed of as a child is becoming reality, and that all started by walking into the Manchester office for an interview.
