Before starting in The Tuscan Organisation, I had trained for 6 years to be a Solicitor, completing my undergraduate course in Dublin before going to the UK to start a postgraduate course. It was whilst working in a Solicitor's office that I realised it was not what I wanted to do and decided to try something completely different.
After considering several possible options I decided to go to Africa and work on a Game Reserve doing conservation work and tracking animals for tourists. I stayed in Africa for approximately 9 months until I had to go back to Ireland because I had run out of money!
I then got involved in the company in the charities division in Dublin and was instantly attracted by the fantastic earnings potential coupled with the fast and un-biased promotional structure I saw. And after having worked in the legal profession for several years I knew this was an opportunity not to be missed.
Sales and team building came relatively easy to me right from the start. However, one of the most important lessons that I learnt in the early stages of my time in the organisation was that to be truly successful I had to teach others to succeed. This meant that I had to learn how to be patient with people and allow them time to develop.
" The business has given me the opportunity to travel, taught me how to deal with people better, how to learn from mistakes and run a very successful company. "
Looking to the future I aim to develop my organisation both in Ireland and overseas and to expand the Dark Rose brand into other areas of interest such as property and entertainment. |
